a week agoWe’ve had a lot of Hotdogs in our travels and this place is hands down the best!! Great service, very nice eat in or dine out areas and excellent food! Must try if you’re in Parkersburg West Virginia!

3 months agoThis is a great place in the hot dogs and french fries in the drink was great Best hot dogs I ate and long time I definitely will go back again and again and again it's a great place. You want to visit you have to go before 4:00. They close at 4:00 p.m.

5 months agoReally great hot dogs, fried foods, root beer floats and root beer slushies. It's been years since I've been here. Hubby was craving a good hot dog with sauce. They knocked it out of the park! Coming in today makes me realize I need to stop in more often.

6 months agoThis is the MOST local A&W type location you can get! All food is MTO and surfaces are cleaned and disinfected every 15 minutes. They hold high standards for food, cleanliness and customer service. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a good sandwich or dog, and don’t want the wallet shedding tears. Root Beer Shack, we will be back!

6 months agoBlew me away! Tons of variety and all made fresh. DOGS BURGERS APPITIZERS and the Mug Rootbeer plain frosted or floats. All to die for. This was my 1st time here. We had 5 dogs and loaded fries and 2 floats and one frosty. All for under 25 dollars. In a cozy open dining area. So much we could eat everything The Dog buns are actually split top buns buttered and flat top grilled. You have to try this joint.

8 months agoThe atmosphere was absolutely comfortable and nostalgic! This was my first time visiting. I had two hot dogs, one with sweet and one with spicy sauce. I highly recommend them. Also, what sets these hot dogs apart are the grilled buns! Don't get me wrong, the sauce is fantastic, but the grilled buns put this hot dog over the top! The slaw on the dogs are a nice touch to cool the heat of the spicy dog! Oh, how can I forget, the slushy root beer and Mountain Dew float are killer!

a year agoGreat food and service. The tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich were delicious. We ordered mozzarella and ricotta cheese bites to share and they were a big hit, we had to get a second order. Another favorite was their chili and of course the hot dogs.
